„’colo ’mbia” talks about the everpresent hypocrisy spreading across various fields of activity (music included), where the pure intention is hijacked by the need of licking one boot or another in order to survive and thrive. It is a revolution against the practice of being submissive in order to obtain certain benefits, against the willingness to go as far as it is necessary, regardless of the consequences. If you are a band, for instance, it is a trend to encourage people to drink alcohol, to consume something harmful (yet legal, and therefore socially acceptable), in order to boost the profits of the hosting venue, and thus boost your relationship with said venue. This practice of stepping over dead bodies is widespread, so this song is a pamphlet and a manifest against such behaviour. Why not go further? Why not endorse total anihilation? All in the name of some balance-shifting game.
