Fear is the primordial instinct. It gave birth to the need of power, which eventually separated humans from animals. The need of power is only a response to fear, and only renouncing power would we be accepted back. This power is what we build our empire upon, selling ourselves piece by piece and peace, in order to achieve some sort of utopian dreamland. Whether man is to ever achieve that place, it will be but an empty shell, with all its content long sold and withered away.
lyrics
Mai întâi a fost frica
Întâi a fost frica
apoi puterea
la care jinduim
izvorâtă din cea dintâi
Pe voi când n-o să vă mai văd
fiinţe de noroi lihnite de putere
să ştiţi
v-oi accepta-napoi
de-eți renunţa la-avere
cel mai frică
ţi-a fost când
umbra ta a
devenit străvezie,
când lumina a pătruns
prin ea
Frica e un răspuns
firesc şi natural,
străvechi, un mecanism
ce te-ndeamnă s-omori, să trădezi.
Aur în formă de şerpi
cu lapte şi sânge mânjiţi
vederea ţi-o străpunge. Te
întrebi vreodată „de ce”?
Pe voi când n-o să vă mai văd
fiinţe de noroi lihnite de putere
să ştiţi
v-oi accepta-napoi
de-eți renunţa la-avere
Frica dintâi
A gândului
Moarte, te-ntreb
„Unde-ai ajuns?”
Puterea se ţese din frică
dar domniile voastre n-ar îndrăzni
să recunoască acest adevăr
Pe voi când n-o să vă mai văd
fiinţe de noroi lihnite de putere
să ştiţi
v-oi accepta-napoi
de-eți renunţa la-avere
Iar Tu păstrează-ţi faţa, copile
Nu acţiona din frică. Iubeşte.
A masterpiece of Folk Metal. You know how I know? When I get goosebumps after listening to a album. Every song is perfection, beautifully crafted. Haunting vocals and violin, blazing guitar solos - it's all here. 10/10! SwordnBoard
NEGURA BUNGET have always been a unique and fascinating band. Epic Romanian folk black metal, shrouded in a dense atmosphere and full of dynamic, organic energy. Although I see "Om" as their unreached masterpiece and neither NEUGURA BUNGET nor Hupogrammos' Dordeduh created such incredible magic again, "Zău" is a worthy final chapet which won't disappoint any fan. Rest in peace! H.L.

A true masterpice. As a mountain guide and a mountain pasionate I must confess, this is the music that helps me connect with the beauty and the roughness of the peaks. bandcamping666
